Description
Psiphon is not a traditional VPN; it is a censorship-circumvention tool designed specifically to help people in countries with heavy internet restrictions access blocked websites and apps.
1 It uses a combination of VPN, SSH, and HTTP proxy technologies to find “tunnels” through firewalls.2How to UsePsiphon is available for Android, iOS, and Windows.3 It is “plug-and-play,” meaning you don’t need to create an account to start using it.41.
On Android & iOS5Download: Get it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.6 (On Android, you can also download the “sideload” APK directly from Psiphon’s website if the Play Store is blocked).7Connect: Open the app and tap the Start button.8Tunneling Modes:
By default, Psiphon for Android might only tunnel its built-in browser.9To protect your whole phone, go to Options and check “Tunnel Whole Device” (requires Android 4.0+).10Status: The “P” icon will turn blue once a secure connection is established.112.
On Windows Download: Download the .exe file from the official Psiphon website. Run: It is a portable app, so no installation is required.12 Just double-click the file. Connect: It will automatically attempt to connect upon opening.
You can choose a specific country server or let it pick the “Best Performance” (usually the fastest).13Key Features vs.

Psiphon does not claim to be a high-anonymity tool.16 It logs some connection data (like how much data you used and for how long) and does not always include a “Kill Switch” to protect you if the connection drops.17 It also displays ads in the free version to stay funded.18Tip:
If you are trying to hide your identity from your ISP or the government for highly sensitive tasks, a dedicated privacy-focused VPN or the Tor Browser is usually a better choice.
